We are so excited to welcome you and your children to Year 1/2!

We know that moving from Reception into a new year group is a big milestone for children and their families. Please be reassured that our aim is to make this transition as smooth, positive and nurturing as possible. We will build on the strong relationships, routines and learning experiences the children have developed during their, while gently introducing them to the new expectations and experiences.

We have a brilliant team who are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where every child feels happy, confident and ready to learn. We will continue to value learning through exploration, practical experiences and purposeful play, alongside developing the children's growing independence and resilience.

Our aim is for every child to feel secure, be excited about learning and develop a love of school as they take this next step in their journey.

Communication 

We want parents and carers to feel that they are valued partners in their child’s education. By maintaining open, respectful and positive communication, we can work together to ensure every child feels happy, confident, supported and ready to learn.

We are always happy to chat and work closely with you to support your child. We will be available at the classroom door in the mornings and at the end of the school day if you have a quick question or would like to share something with us.

We also use ClassDojo to keep you up to date with important information, reminders and what the children have been learning.
