Humanities Trips and Visits

Here at Southfields, we value the importance of widening our children’s experiences and understanding  of the different topics we teach through trips, visits and memorable experiences.  With a focus on just Humanities these include…

EYFS, enjoy an autumn walk through the local area, visit the Local Library for animal research, walk to the local church, visit Sacrewell farm and enjoy a trip to Hunstanton.

Year One, have a walk to the local church and an exciting visit to Peterborough Museum planned.

For Year Two, they get to experience what a Victorian classroom would be like to learn in, a visit to Peterborugh Catherdral, and a residential to Sacrewell farm.

Year Three, enjoy a visit to Flag Fen, a Romans Experience Day in School, and try to free themselves from an Egyptians Escape Room

Year Four, have an Egyptians History off the Page day, a visit to Ferry Meadows and a residential visit to Aylmerton.

For Year Five, they get to experience fieldwork within the local area and a visit to the world-famous Cadbury world.

Year Six, they have a jam-packed year of visits to the Black Country museum, Local Library visit, a World War 2 History off the page day and a residential visit to London.

Finally, (and most excitingly) there is also our very popular residential visit which is offered to all of Key Stage Two a week, skiing in the French Alps!
