Year 4 have had a wonderful Egyptian day! Their morning consisted of a wide range of activities including mummification, creating clay amulets, shabtis and perfume pots, creating ink and writing in hieroglyphics, creating art work for the walls of tombs and more. In the afternoon they worked on a range of Egyptian stories, plays and dances before preparing for a feast to celebrate the new High Priest. The children were given roles throughout the day, such as to be a Queen, Pharaoh, guards, fan bearers and villagers which involved them into the drama and flow of the day. The children even got to take home a bag of their creations to share with their families.
