Makaton is a fantastic method of supporting communication, using signing, symbols and speech and as such, is helpful for those who don't yet have speech, have limited speech and those who need to build their ability to communicate further. 

In school, we have run training sessions for our own teachers and TAs and for those in settings around the city.  This training has been so helpful and we are starting to use it around school at all ages. 

We have trained practitioners from nursery age to secondary and have staff from the disability team joining soon.
