Road Safety Week

National Road Safety Week 20th-26th November 2017

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our 'safe route' walk to school this week, holding up banners and walking together, to promote National Road Safety Week.  A thank you also to the staff who gave up their own time to escort pupils to school, we really appreciate it.

It is always an important date on our calendar each year and we spend a lot of time in school dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of road safety. You may notice later some posters around the community which the lovely Mrs Dawson will be putting up to promote this event - 'Speed Down, Save Lives.'

If you are able to, please spend some time this week reminding your children about the importance of road safety and how to behave when walking near busy roads.  As a school, we have always promoted safe parking and walking to school using either the Glatton Drive or Community Centre carparks. We continue to thank those of you who always park safely.

Kind regards

Mrs King and the Southfields Team
