If you have a child who was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, and you live in Peterborough, you need to apply for a Reception school place.

• Application opens: November 2025
• Application deadline: January 15, 2026
• National Offer Day: April 16, 2026

Next Steps

Following the offer day on 16th April 2026, please contact the school to accept your child's place if they have been offered Southfields Primary School.

We will ask you to bring in the following documents:

• child's birth certificate
• proof of parents' address
• proof of child's address (this could be a Child Benefit letter, letter from the GP addressed to the child etc.)

 

A parents-only meeting (please do not bring your child) will take place on Wednesday 10th June 2026 at 5:00pm.

At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to tour the school again, meet next year’s staff, learn more about what Southfields has to offer, and sample our menus. You will also receive a link to our Arbor system, where you will be asked to complete your child’s details, including contact information, medical and dietary needs, and permissions/consents.

Please note: If these records are not completed by 17th July 2026, your child will not be able to start school in September.
