Changes to our Published Admission Number (PAN) from September 2027

Following a statutory consultation, Southfields Primary School's Published Admission Number (PAN) will reduce to 60 from September 2027. This means we will admit up to 60 children into our reception class each year from September 2027 onwards.

Why are we making this change?

This decision reflects falling birth rates in our local area and allows us to maintain optimal class sizes whilst ensuring we can continue to provide the excellent education our school is known for.

What does this mean for families?

  • This change only affects children applying for reception places from September 2027 onwards
  • Current pupils and their families are not affected by this change
  • We remain committed to serving our local community and providing outstanding education for all our pupils
